Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch died Thursday from complications related to "severe pneumonia [that] progressed into sepsis," according to a family connection obtained by FOX Sports connected Saturday.

"The aesculapian information provided to nan Busch Family concluded that terrible pneumonia progressed into sepsis, resulting successful accelerated and overwhelming associated complications," nan statement, according to FOX Sports’ Bob Pockrass, read.
